A Little Bit About St. Jude
The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The hospital offers free care to children as they believe the only thing a family should worry about is their child’s life.
As a non-profit organization, St. Jude relies heavily on contributions from generous donors to operate and 82 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to supporting patients. St. Jude’s dedication to its patients has increased the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to 80%.

Fit Factory’s relationship with St. Jude
Fit Factory began its relationship with St. Jude in 2015. It was our goal to give back to an organization that gives so much to others. St. Jude has made incredible strides in its discovery of treatments for childhood cancer and we hope that our support will help to continue and possibly enhance those treatments.
Fit Factory is proud to support such an incredible organization. We are honored each year to donate a significant contribution to St. Jude and it’s operations.
Although we are excited about our previous donations, we are always looking to offer more support with each coming year.
The Walk
This year, Fit Factory is creating a team to participate in the Walk/ Run to End Childhood Cancer on September 22, 2018. We would love to see a significant member and employee presence for this big event. There will be sheets to sign up for the team in all of the clubs over the next couple of months. In addition, we will have several upcoming opportunities for members to participate in fundraising events and/ or donate -- such as raffles, Group Fit Classes, and more.
