Like most businesses, the onset of the Coronavirus Pandemic heavily and rapidly impacted our business at Fit Factory. Though we have made changes to the way we operate, added new member perks, and shifted to virtual amenities such as online classes and videos, the one thing that has stayed the same is our committment to the greater community at large. We feel that giving back now is more important than ever.
American Red Cross Partnership
With over 9,000 blood drives this spring already cancelled or rescheduled due to the virus, the American Red Cross is in dire need of blood donations. We recently volunteered all seven of our 25,000 - 35,000 sq ft facilities across Massachusetts and Texas to be used as blood donation centers during this time.
Fit Factory's CEO and Co-Founder, Matthew Genes lead the charge on this partnership stating that it was "a no brainer" to help. Our facilities provide plenty of space to adhere to social distancing protocols and cater to the space needed for a blood drive, especially while our clubs are temporarily closed to the public.
Fit Factory Garland will host our first official Blood Drive with the American Red Cross on April 19th from 12pm to 6pm CST in our Group Fitness Studio. We have received an overwhelming amount of support and have filled all donation time slots for this specific blood drive, but will be sure to release more information about future blood drive events.
Local Community Efforts
Even beyond blood drives, Fit Factory has been committed to helping the specific local communities we serve too. In the days leading up to our official club closures, we purchased all staff meals from local restaurants that needed support to stay in business.
The wellbeing of our senior community members is also especially important to us as a company at this time. Some of our team members delivered "thinking of you" cards to local assisted living facilities to be distributed to and posted for all residents.
We also understand that a lot of our members and individuals from our local communities are at home with little ones, looking for anything to keep them busy! Our Sales Manager from North Attleboro Kellie, volunteered to read the story of Green Eggs & Ham right from the familiar Kids' Room at Fit Factory.
Fit Factory Cares
Our team here at Fit Factory greatly appreciates the continued support from our members as this in turn allows us to have a greater impact on our community. We are excited to keep spreading some positivity when the world needs it most and appreciate everyone out there doing their part to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We want to remind you to stay positive and healthy!
