COMMON MISCONCEPTION

"If my actual muscle size changes, I’ll look bigger."

It's pretty common for women to feel hesitant to start lifting heavy or to use supplements that are used to build muscle because they don’t want to look bulky. While I have seen perspectives change on lifting weights, women always seem to want to be smaller. It’s time to change that mentality and focus on getting STRONG!

REMEMBER: BUILDING MUSCLE IS HARD

As someone who has been lifting heavy for a few years, I can tell you that it’s difficult to build muscle size! All those big bodybuilders that you see, they put serious planning and effort into their training and nutrition in order to look like that.

BIGGER MUSCLES DOESN’T MEAN BULKY

There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing some hard-earned muscle definition that shapes your arms, back, and legs to make them more defined, rather than large and bulky.
Stronger, more defined muscles will give you the positive body adaptations that you’ve been trying to get via ‘dieting’, in a much healthier way.
Those muscles that you build will not only look great on you, but will boost your metabolism, help bone density, allow you to be more physically independent, and also make you feel like a badass (or superhero), not bulky.

HOW TO GET STRONG

Even with the best training programs, you can’t build muscle without giving your body the energy and nutrients to build with! To see hypertrophy (muscle size), you need to consume slightly more than your body burns so you have the resources to make muscle. The best way to do this is to carefully consume more! That’s right, consume more of the right stuff that will support your goals!
Sometimes this can actually be pretty challenging to consume more and that’s where high-quality supplements can help. I am someone who prefers to get my nutrition from food first, but it is really helpful when I have the options of adding a protein shake, or getting some extra greens in with a powder, or even adding creatine to help boost your strength gains (among other benefits).
