Meet Ashlee!

Ahslee is a member at Fit Factory's Berlin, MA location and has been working with Akhiel, one of our Personal Trainers, since December of 2020. Although Ashlee felt fit prior to working with a personal trainer, Ashlee was looking for help getting stronger, perfecting her form, gaining weight, and improving her eating habits as she had reached a plateau in her fitness journey. 

Ashlee has seen some incredible results working with Akhiel, and said that investing in herself is once of the best decisions that she could have made:

"I had always wanted to work with a personal trainer, but I never thought that I could afford it. But my health is very important to me, along with achieving my goals, so I made it possible. I was able to make it work by spending less money on things that I did not need. I see it as an investment in myself and I believe it is worth the price.


My sessions are on Wednesdays and I look forward to them every week. The workouts are challenging, but I love that it pushes me out of my comfort zone. It is nice to have someone watching and critiquing my form, because your form is far more important than people realize. I feel as though that was one the main reason I was struggling to gain strength.

Now when I workout on my own, I feel very confident with my form and can notice when something is off. Another reason I began working with a trainer is because I felt very overwhelmed. I wasn’t sure what exercises I should be doing in order to reach my goals. I knew that I needed to work more on my compound lifts, but I was scared of hurting myself if I tried it on my own. Now I do it on my own all the time, pain free!

 

I've taken away two big things from this experience: 1) if you want something bad enough, you will do anything you can to achieve that and 2) you need to be patient, because change does not happen overnight. If your health is important to you, you will make it a priority just as I did. I was struggling to achieve my goals, so I reached out for help and it was the best decision I could have made."
