Fit Factory Foxboro is a luxury health club know for its wide range of fitness classes, first-class amenities, and member-first approach; however, their mission is to offer much more than that to the local community.
Since early 2018 Fit Factory has been partnering with Attleboro Enterprises, an organization that supports adults with diverse developmental challenges, empowering them to become contributing members of society. The partnership has allowed Fit Factory to assist in mentoring individuals with these challenges, providing them with the knowledge and opportunities necessary to be successful in a future career.
The program was originally introduced to Fit Factory by Marketing Coordinator, Sharilynn Brown. When Fit Factory announced its’ expansion into the Foxboro and North Attleboro areas, Brown stated that the company “was looking for a good way to give back to the local community” when they came across Attleboro Enterprises and met the organization’s Director of Employment Services, John Raposa. “Mr. Raposa is so passionate about his work, and the individuals that he places with us are so passionate about theirs. It’s great to be able to give them the opportunity to add something really valuable to their resume, in turn opening doors for their future career paths,” Brown said.
The company opened their newest location in North Attleboro on Monday, 8/6, and plans to expand their partnership with Attleboro Enterprises, providing even more opportunities for developmentally challenged individuals to learn and grow.
